Hello, Susan. I’m a first grade student of Bunkyo Gakuin University. I would like to tell you about myself as much as I can. I will talk about my family, my hobbies, and my dream.
I will begin with my family. I live in Adachi ward of north Tokyo with my family. I have one older sister, one younger brother, and two dogs. My father is a truck driver who transports many kinds of fruits and vegetables. He has to work all day without Saturdays and Sundays. That’s why he doesn’t often stay at home. My mother works in Bunkyo elementary school and dormitory. She works two places from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. She is also busy on the weekends. Sadly, I have a part-time job on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays so I can’t spend much time with my family. However my younger brother always takes care of me whenever I am worried. He and I often quarrel about unimportant things but we make up with each other quickly. I think that he is one of my best friends even though he is younger than me. (I can’t say to him “thank you so much” directly, but I own a lot to him). On the other hand, I don’t have a good relationship with my older sister. There are many complicated reasons why I dislike her. I will tell you one reason of: I can’t stand her bad behavior. For example, she never cleans her room by herself. Of course, her room will be messy often, so I have to clean her room instead of her! Although I have asked my sister to clean her room by herself before, she wouldn’t clean). I should do something to change her bad behavior even if she says “NO!” We still have problems each other. Making up with my older sister is a big issue now in my family problems.
Secondly, I want to tell you my hobbies. I like Japan. Especially, Japanese traditional toys and games are my most favorite parts of it. I love Ninja, kendama (cup and ball), ayatori (cat’s cradle), and so on. I go to a park near my home to rest, and then I practice kendama and ayatori to improve my skills. The time I spend time doing my hobbies gives me relaxing and special experiences. The best memory is the Halloween of last year. I dressed up as a Ninja because one of the exchange students was interested in it. She also was a Ninja too. She bought the same Ninja clothes as me. So I’m really happy to be a Japanese person. But, I find it so sad that some Japanese people don’t have any interests in traditional things well.
Finally, I will finish with my dream. I wanted to be a ticket agency at Narita airport when I entered the Bunkyo Gakuin University. However I changed my dream because there were a lot of students have similar dreams. So, I don’t have my dream clearly. Therefore I try to make an effort in order to find my new dream. I hope that I can meet wonderful job in the future.Thank you for reading my letter! I’m happy if you can know about me.
